Description

The Zoom Date 120 is a compact 35mm film camera released by Fuji in 2000. It was sold as the Super 120AZ in Japan.

It uses a Fujinon 38 to 120mm f/6.7 to 12.7 lens, made from 5 components and 5 elements. It is able to focus from 0.9m to infinity. Change the zoom by pressing the rocker switch. Press the single tree to zoom in, and three trees to zoom out. It has AF lock, and a landscape (infinity, flash off) mode.

Included in the starter bundle:

  • Camera
  • 3 Lomography colour films
  • 3 Black and white films
  • 1 Film storage case
  • 1 Battery

The shutter release can be half pressed to auto focus lock. Beside the viewfinder is a LED indicator that lights in green when focus is obtained. The shutter has speeds of 1/2 to 1/250 sec. The built-in flash has a 5 second recycle time. Flash modes include automatic, red-eye reduction, fill flash, flash off, and a night portrait slow sync mode. The self-timer has a delay of 10 seconds and can be set to fire up to 3 exposures. The finder is a zooming type with 0.41 to 1.13x magnification. There are indicators for the frame, parallax and AF, frame, parallax correction mark (for subjects closer than 1.5m), AF lamp. The LCD displays exposure counter, timer mode, date, battery, and flash status.

It is compatible with DX coded film with speeds of 50 to 3200 ISO. Non-coded film is set a ISO 100. The film transport uses a prewound system. Photos are automatically advanced into the film cartridge after each exposure. The film counter is downwards counting to display the number of exposures remaining. The camera back has a small window to check for presence of film and film type. The date can be set up to year 2030. Imprinting modes include Y/M/D, M/D/Y, Time, and — (off). Power is with a 3V CR123A battery.
